Emotional Health and Wellbeing.
Understanding the national concerns regarding children’s mental health and the lengthy waiting times for services, which locally were highlighted through our QPD analysis, and noting that young people across the 56 Children’s Safeguarding Boards identified mental health as a priority concern, the Partnership has undertaken a comprehensive review.
This work has focused on:
Mapping existing services
Assessing current commissioning developments
Identifying gaps across the full continuum of care
Supporting the commissioning of local mental health provision
Telford & Wrekin Partnership remains fully aware of the scale of the national challenge in expanding mental health support to meet the growing demand from children and young people. Despite this, we remain firmly committed to continual improvement and to strengthening the local offer in response to identified needs.
